Last night I started off in super-agression gear. I had not used this gear in a while at this game, and I wanted to confuse the players and let them come to their own conclusion as to what was going on. I bought in for only $200 and after a few hands was up to over $400. I put massive pressure on the other players and they all got out of my way. Then came the only bad hand of the night.
I was dealt AK and raised big, got 1 caller. Flop comes 22A. I check, the caller moves allin, I call. She shows pocket tens. The turn brings the 2-outter and I lose a $200 pot. I managed to leave up $130 after 5 hours of play. An acceptable gain after a sick beat.
I will be out of town for the Heartland main event :( So no big tournaments in the area until the WPT and the $1 million super satellite. I hope to win both :)

Poker has been kind to me lately. Wednesday's $1-2 NLH game was particularly good to me. I was playing good poker and slowly building my stack. I doubled up two players and still was up nicely. Then my big hand of the night came.
I was dealt AK on the button. Seat 10 raised to $10, Seat 4 reraised to $35. I call. Seat 6 calls, seat 8 moves allin for $68. Seat 10 reraises to $115. Seat 4 folds, I call. Pot is about $335. Flop comes Axx with 2 spades. Seat 10 checks. Not wanting to give a free card if he is on a spade draw, I fire out $200. Seat 10 stands up, is very upset, and shows his cards to another player. At this point I assume he has kings. He then starts talking to himself asking what I could have. Then I realized he must also have an ace. He reraises allin for $28 more and I call. Turn brings another spade and the 6 seat says that he can win with another spade. that is good news for me, as I am probably ahead of both players and can scoop. The river blanks and I announce I have an ace as I start to flip over my cards. The 10 seat asks if my kicker is a king as I show my hand. He throws down AQ on the table and seat 6 shows pocket tens with a spade. I scoop the almost $900 pot.
